Getting Started

Taking the plunge into hiring an organizing or productivity professional can be daunting. I get it! It is extremely important that you feel comfortable and confident going into our work together, so I hope this introduction eases some fears. First, know that there is no right place to start. Wherever you currently are is the right place. I shared my advice about “jumping in” on my previous blog post. Just remember that I’m here to guide you through the process and help in any way I can.

Not everyone in my industry offers free consultations, but I do because I believe they are mutually beneficial. It gives us a chance to get to meet each other (or talk, in the case of virtual services), see if my services are a good fit, and come up with a plan to meet your goals. Using the results of this consultation, I can gauge what services you may need as no two clients are the same and no two projects are the same. We will briefly go over the elements of the 5-Step Productive Environment Process (which I will explain in a future blog), focusing on Step 1: “State Your Vision.” If the consultation is over the phone, we will talk through your biggest challenges and goals, and if the consultation is in person, I will also ask for a brief tour of the space. The consultation will just scratch the surface and the more in-depth process will begin at our first session together.

We start with small steps that will lead to tremendous changes. (Unless you are ready to go all in…I love those clients too!) I always get to know my clients, and one of the first questions I ask is, “What about organizing is easy for you?” I’ve yet to meet someone who is unable to answer this question in some way. Together we will build your confidence. Life happens, and homes and offices become less than functional over time. I don’t think about where my clients have been or how things got the way they are, my joy is truly in putting systems in place to improve their lives and increase their productivity moving forward.

If you are ready to connect, I’d love to talk with you about how we can work together! My preferred way to start is right here on my website. Take the Productive Environment Scorecard and after this, we will be able to come up with a plan. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. My email is Kerry@ctcorganizing.com and my phone number is 434-260-0427. I hope you have a wonderful week, and I look forward to working with you in the future!
